Evony Online Game - Free to Play
One thing that is not broken is Evony the online RPG game. Free for you to play, you can also buy game coins and items to gain advantage. I have to admit, so far I have put hundreds of dollars into the game making it more successful at getting my money than any other game. This game is truly addicting as you can play it from anywhere without installing anything. All it requires is a web browser supporting Adobe Flash Technologies.
Running nearly 24 hours per day except for a brief 5-15 minute server maintenance nightly, the game offers some unique game playing experiences. First, the game is something that you can play without taking 100% of your attention. I often have a laptop next to my couch to enjoy playing Evony while I am watching TV.. commercials?? Not anymore! Finally, with the dimension of Alliances, you will have to group together in strategic ways to lead the way. But Alliances are capped at 100 members, and while sister alliances exist, no alliance can truly dominate the server. While winning Evony is completely impossible, without buying coins you can loose it all.
Here are a couple of hints:
First, You do not want to start your own alliance right away. You will want to find a good established alliance. They will help you with resources and game knowledge.
Second, Do not bite off more than you can chew! Some players will have troops and resources that seemingly come from no where! Do not attack more then a few people out of time and pace yourself. If you are the number one sought after person, you will end up dead quickly!
Third, be careful what you say in World Chat. People can be offended easily and if you offend the wrong person your Bird will start flashing and it will be all over for you!
Fourth, READ THE WIKI! The Wiki has information that you will need to know, best to start reading it right away.
Finally, troop attacks do not work as you think they would, there is a specific troop attack order for every troop. This leads to advantages of sending one troops versus another. It is also not a good idea to group certain troops.

Remember that all resources and items are precious, so mistakes can cost more than the time it would take to read up on strategy.

Windows 32 and 64 Bit
Interestingly, Microsoft, in all its experience, has not been able to streamline the transition from 32 to 64 bit with the experience of transitioning from 16 to 32 bit. Further, the .NET framework cannot run both 32 and 64 bit versions simultaneously. Irregardless of this fact, many applications are written in "classical" applications that don't support 64 bit installs at all.
Personally, I could care less about the "bittage" of the app. I find it demoralizing that a 32 bit windows os is limited to 3.25GB of ram.

Purpose
I have setup this site as a professional journal of all the code snippits and computer knowledge from my daily activities. I have decided to make this public to allows others to benefit from the knowledge that I no doubtedly obtained from the Internet. It will also be ripe with opinion summarily disguised as fact.
